20vT conversion threads or info?

I've just bought a 20vT engine for Elvis and wanted to know if anyone knows of any good threads involving the conversion anywhere?

theres loads of info out there about the convertions inm in the middle of one at the mo  8) u need to get ur self a 16v cambelt tensioner ans a alt belt off a skoda fabia if u aint runnin the pas or the a/c  8) if u need the part num for the belt pm me and ill get it for u  8)

What engine code is it ?
And is it cable throttle

yeh it'll be throttle cabled and the engine code is AGU

What gearbox are you planning on using
If its a seat engine i think you can keep the box ( 5SPD) and use a certin g'box mount and modded shifter arm
But then i have no idea what shafts to use

Im using a 02a box, custom g box mounts and 16v shafts
I think ive now gone the harder way but have room for a diff in the 02a

the gearbox i'm buying with the engine is a 6 speed audi something or other. not entirely sure yet as i dont have all the info on it.

I think there may be an issue using the 6 speed box as the diff housing is BIG i think i remember somone saying it bangs on the chassis leg

my engine is the agu pretty straight forward to swap

im using a o2j box 5sp
would like to know if i can a cable speedo in it, iv hered that you can put a 1,3 speedo cable in?

im sure the 6 speed is to big for the mk1 its not the mounts thats the issue just the size there huge
