20 v turbo conversion

hi all does anyone know if the 20v t will fit nicly in the engine bay with the original servo in place as was gonna fit bias box without servor but found out it not MOT legal to not have servo if it is fitted from factory  :cry: any pics would help

Where or who told you about the brake servo removal not being legal??? :dontknow:

I have removed mine and fitted a pedal box and passed mot no probs. Also think lots of people on here have done the same, and never heard of m.o.t problems for that specific item :dontknow:

Is it not more like that if you left the servo in the engine bay then it has to function, however if you removed it completley then it is alright?

its in the mot book at my work and i gave the minestry of transport a ring to see if there was any way around it they said there is no way around it if it is fitted as standard from the factory it has to be present at mot, if a tester passes it it would be an ellegal mot but most tester probably think the brakes work thats enough i supose u gotta make sure u dont get a jobsworth tester lol

still think its a stupid rule as the brake gunna end up better than standard any way

Many of the 1.1 models didn't have a servo,I think if I had a 20v T in my mk1 I would certainly want to stop the thing.

I have fitted my 20v with a servo in place i got some boost pipes made up to exit the turbo go across the behind the servo and down the inside wing to the intercooler.

I have a AGU engine.

I have go a tiny battery in there aswell so that doesnt take up much room.
