2.0 8v conversion

Im after as much advice and info on building 2.0 engine for my golf

Ive got a 2.0 agg block from a mk3 and a 1.8 Dx head that im looking to air together and run twin 40's

Any info on things i need to change and utilise would be great

hi i did a 2l 8v conversion last year but with mk1 golf injection not carbs. to build the engine i used a kit that TSR sell- 2 blanking plates for the breather holes on the block and ring for the dx distributor to allow it to fit the agg block, you will also need to swap the gears over on the distributors. best to use the head gasket for a agg engine as they are steel and better than the composite type. exhaust manifold was a problem for me as the agg block is taller and i had clerance problems with my 4 branch had to extend the down pipes. you can get a spacer that allows you to use a standard manifold and down pipe.
