do you mean engine mounts or chassis mounts?

if ur car is a small block engine  then the left engine mount will need to be moved back
but if its a big block engine previously  the 16v will drop in on all the mounts :)

93' cab in need of a miracle

smallblock chassis mount will need to be swapped for a big block one not just moved back as they are different

presuming from your sig that you have a gti, no mounts will have to be changed

rear mount can do with a little bit of spacing to help with bonnet clearance

Depends what gearbox you're using……..

if its 020, then no you don't need to change them. If its 02A (which is what the ABF would have been attached to in a Mk3 GTI 16V) then yes, you need to use a custom gearbox mount. You'll also need to adapt the hydraulic clutch (can be converted to cable operation) and shift mechanism (it will be cable change). There's plenty of info around, about doing these mods.
