Is it just the idle that's the issue, or does it actually run badly once warm etc?

Because if it doesn't run noramlyl off idle…changing to carbs won't help.  Still need the 16V ECU for Spark.

For instance, I haven't got the 16v idle system i'm running the mk1 AAV.  The idle on mine isn't the best, it is sketchy in cold weather, but it's fine in warm weather like this week.

In general terms the main bits you need:
Inlet Manifold
Carbs, carb inlets and filters
Throttle mech
Fuel pressure regulator (you can buy fuel regulators specifically for stepping down injection inputs to the levels needed for carbs).

And prob some other stuff, Fuel hose etc.
