16v fueling qustion!

hello everyone,

plannin on puttin a 16v into the mk1, stickin with carbs and have weber 40's for the job. I also have a ported / polished cylinder head and stage 1 cams, will the carbs be upto the job for fueling because the bloke who has done the head ( Andy @ AMT ) thinks that they may struggle and has recommended weber 45's.
