you will need a new inlet manifold for your carbs…
you will need the 16v engine and also the ecu and tci unit plus the wiring loom for this - the loom is small only five or six wires….

or will i need that for the timing side of it all etc?
will my gearbox fit straight on too?

wud that effect the way it runs or anything ?

Ignition advance affects the way it runs, but not drastically - you'd probably not notice a difference, you might get a few flat spots etc. I think the most common way is to reuse the 16Vs ECU, even with carbs.

16v on webers… what setup would be best for what engine
1.8 16v on 40's or 45's?
2.0 16v on 40's or 45's?
i've got some 40's kicking around and thinking about building up a second engine (just incase etc) so was wondering whether they'd be best with either a 1.8 or 2L… or whether its worth going down a specific route/setup..?
i'm sure this will help mk1nath in his end result
