AGU comes in Golf GTi 1.8T, Audi A3 1.8T and Skoda Octavia.

Check here for more info: Qpeng.com is for sale | HugeDomains

The driveshafts are dependant on what gearbox you use, if you keep your original box then its the same shafts, if you change to O2A then you will need either 100mm shafts or to change the output flanges on the gearbox.

No they dont but 100mm late cabby ones do with the correct mounts on the MK4 Gear box

AGU 1.8T were fitted to MK4 Golf GTi , Audi A3 1.8T's and some Skoda Octavias made from the start of production in 1997 until 2000.

Wiring depends how carried away you want to get, I re-loomed the whole car with a hacked back mk4 loom, way superior to the original mk1 loom, you can just use enough for the engine though.

Engine mounts can be bought for about £150 for the n/s and rear if you're going the 02a/j route and about £80 for the os mount.  I built my own as they're not that tricky to build if you've a few basic metalwork tools.

cheers mate, if i wanted to keep original clock what the best route to take with the wirring?

and is there anywhere that sells mounts? or is it case of looking on forum classifieds and ebay?

thanks

You can go either way if keeping the original clocks, personally I would go with using as much of the mk4 loom as you can as I think it's probably the better option, it brings the electrics up to date and generally everything works better.  You can make everything work off the original switches by just using the last couple of inches of the original loom and soldering and heatshrinking the joins.  There's much more work involved in doing it this way and you will spend many many hours going through wiring diagrams to get it all to work fine.  I've done a few now, 1st one took me probably well over 100hours of work to get it working right but was worth it in the end.  If you do go this route any questions you have let me know and i'll try to help you along the way as much as possible.

Regarding mounts there's usually some on ebay (although not at the moment) and there's always some for sale on the caddy forum (www.vwcaddy.com), i'll be building some in a couple of months as I don't like the way mine are at the moment (room for improvement!), looking at building a few sets and selling them on so may have some for sale then.
