1.8carb trouble

I am having fuel problems with my 1.8carb Cabrio. could someone provide me with a photo of their engine bay and some answers? It seems to be starving itself of fuel. The return flow is quicker than the supply! Anyone encountered this before? :dontknow:

Yep, check the Fuel evaporator (and the pipe leading to it)

You will find it on the front of the engine block, near the fuel pump.

There was all sorts of gunk in there, and a chunk of rust in the pipe.

Took ages to find.

While you're there, perform a gynocologists check on the fuel filler neck.
