Anyone tried this oil treatment who has valve seal probs?.. isit any good?

Anyone know of a better make, which can help with valve sealing and engine compression?

I've used this on an MG Midget.  Did the job to be honest, reduced the smoke a fair amount and ran fine.  However, I sold the car about 1000 miles later so can't give you any long term implications.
However, if you just want to stop it smoking it did what it said on the tin

Used it in the past, not on a golf but it does work, and work quite well considering the cost.  :)

Ive never used that one, it's one from Lucas oil's the local place sells,
when i used it i changed the oil up a grade as well as putting that in, did solve proplem for a while, but it will never be fixed, untill you have fixed it

Thanks for the replys everyone.

I ended up buying it earlier this morning. Put about 3/4th of it in, then i took it for a spin around the block. I have to say i think it's worked really well. It stopped smoking, and it feels like it's improved the compression, it picks up better. Need to take it for a longer spin tomorrow.

Bought it for ?5 at Halfords, it should keep the engine running for a while longer until  i do a conversion.

It works by softening the (hardened) rubber valve stem seals, and all the other oil seals etc in the process. It also vastly modifies the oil viscosity while its doing its stuff (makes it thicker) so its possible this element causes engines to fail on it. I used it once and had to replace the engine.....
