why?

why does it seem that floppy tops come up for sale far more often than tin tops, especially at the moment?! I know youre all going to post links to the 4 or 5 tin tops in the the for sale section but you've got to admit its true. thing i want to know is why is it true? are there simply more cabs still going or do people buy them in the spring and then decide they dont want a soft top when it (as it usually does) rains?

A lot of convertibles were, and are still used as "second" cars, or
only used at weekends etc.. so, that combined with there being
more around (as they were built years after the tin tops) could
be the reason more are for sale……… there are more of them?.

No figures to back this up, its only my guess…….

best time to sell a cab is the summer/2 weeks of dry weather we have per year, no one wants one in the winter
