Which White to go for?

Ok I think I have found somebody to spray the car for a decent price and now I need to start looking at colours.  Originally I was going to respray her again in Alpine White, but now I am thinking do I go for a different shade?

I quite like the Candy White on newer golfs and also the Audi White on the R8's but not sure if I should stay original.  I know I don't want to change from White.

Any recommendations greatly appreciated and pics would be good (however they might not show up different shades on a PC).

Thanks,
Stu.

Is it a stock restoration hat you are carrying out? If so then the original shade is a no-brainer. If its a custom you are building then a 'brighter' white may be preferable. Ford Frozen White is very, er, white!

im a paint sprayer/ panel beater, and personally bud, i would get them to paint it in solid white, its cheap. doesnt require lackering, its a fraction of the price. and its actually brighter than anyother pearl, metalic etc. i use it all the time, as long as there good at polishing, (to remove the 'orange peel'  should turn out pretty good.

This is part of my dilemma.

Keep it original as per resto (Alpine White) or go for something nice and bright.  I think it probably makes more sense to keep it original, a fresh coat of Alpine White will still look bright compared to that of a 27 year old paint job.
