Where was my cabs built?

So does anyone know if the european cabs where built at Karmann factory completely, or did parts come from VW themselves?

I've had a look on karmann.com site and it doesn't say…

I'm just interested to understand the history of my cabs place of birth and did one factory build them?

All Karmann vehicles were built at the Osnabruck plant as far as i know, Karmann are just the coach builders employed by vw, everything is vw parts, Karmann just did there thang with the car and input with the designs of the Karmann Ghia, corrado, and mk1 cabrios as well as lots of other stuff too, hope that helps a bit :dontknow:

Not true! Karmann pressed and welded together the main bodyshell, as a build up. So there's no adaption of the hatchback bodyshell. They received a bunch of parts which were common to both cars (wings, engines, suspension, etc for example) and received a number of other items produced by suppliers, such as electrical items and trim.
