I'm certain i read 'Volkswagen audi group is wrong….

VAG is a german abbreviation of Volkswagenwerk Aktiengesellschaft

which was the Original Name of Volkswagen :)

Spot on! In German, AG has the equivalent meaning of "Co." ie company, so VAG is an abbreviation of the full company name, in German.

i had always presumed vag was Volkswagens Audi group too

Nah only when it applies to the game Golf, otherwise it means Girls Only Lads Forbidden!! :wink:
