Cat C will reduce your price by at least half, shame as it looks cool!!
If i was you id strip off the chrome and put the car back to stock and sell it.
As it stands id guess at around ?1000
Put back to stock id say around ?5-600
But then you might be lucky and get top dollar for it?

Just because its a Cat C it doesnt means its worthless, I've had a few cars that have been on the register and sold a few that have been too. It depends if its been repaired to a high standard, remember that your car is a C reg, if the accident happened within a last few years it could be nothing more than a cracked bumper and a small amount of paint. Alot of people wont be put off if its had a small bump as long as it was repaired correctly.

all being good with the floppy, i'd say that valuation seems a little harsh.

………Bumpers and wheels are worth ?700 .
Was just gonna say that, cos of the CAT C it'll be worth more in bits unless you find someone who loves it..
I think its cool and you shouldnt sell..
what you gonna get if you do sell it tho???

Dont get me wrong, ithink its a sweet ride, and i wouldnt be that fussed about the cat C.
But my mate had a cat C flop top, in MINT condition on a B plate with almost full history and he couldnt sell it?? In the end he got ?700 for it, but took almost 6 months to sell. :dontknow: Tho that was over a year ago so people might have changed there opinions of recorded cars since then??
If a car is on the hit list people will not pay top dollar because they know it was brought cheap from either the insurance or a scrappy.

IMO
If you stuck that up for sale now, in feb, i reckon you would get ?1000- ?1500 at a push.
Stick it up for sale in summer april time maybe, i reckon you would push 2 k, if its as good as it looks in the pictures
looks really nice to me

with no history and it being registered as a cat C i wouldnt expect anymore than ?800 for it as a complete car. you are much better off splitting it.
if you sell it in the summer i still wouldnt expect any more than ?1200.
i bought my carbrio in July last year, it has FULL service history and is completely standard and in very good condition and I paid ?900 for it with a years MOT, so i really dont think ?2000 is realistic with all the personalised modifications and the fact is has a sketchy past.

insurance companies 'cat c' cars very easily these days, if the rear wing was damaged they would price a new one which would write it off there and then, a new bumper would probably be half the value of the car.
now is NOT agood time to be trying to sell a car id hang on a bit as i reckon were coming into a bit of a ressesion, i cant seem to be able to shift anything
if your confident of its mechanical condition offer an RAC/AA inspection it should sell with one of those in the summer.
p.s whats with the retro light up front??
