What's it worth?

I need 2 prices, one for a sale price, one for an agreed value price for my insurer…

115k, 1.8, 1983 build, registered in Europe somewhere until 1987, then in the UK after.

No sunroof.

Full respray in January 2007

Brand new rear lights, unmarked 7.5x15 Ronal LS wheels with Toyo t1-S tyres, 6 months old, about 6mm tread or more all round.

I also have smoked and clear indicators, 2 sets of rear lights, a spare gearknob, dash trim, metering unit and the centre of a 2 lamp grille, with lamps (plus a few more bits)

It's had new gear linkage bushes, a new exhaust centre section and a full rolling road tune with new fuel pump.

I also spent A LOT of money on brand new badges for it.

The driver's seat is worn on the bolster, but it's not gone through to the foam.

I've got a MASSIVE load of reciepts for bits over the years, and tax discs from 1988 onwards.

Hmm, that'd be a bit of a kick in the teeth TBH, I was hoping to get my money back on it (minus the ?500+ I've spent on bits and bobs) but that's not going to happen at 2k :(

that was imo but what put me of was it's d reg plus i'me tight as i depends on what someone wants to pay also i havent seen the car in the flesh it might be proper mint which will put the price up accordingly  :wink:  :mrgreen:

I'm considering selling up because it's my only car, I have no garage to use and I don't want to ruin it over the winter with the salt/rain eating away at it :(

I've also got no job at the moment and can't afford to buy another car as a winter runner.

I'd rather see it go somewhere where it's going to be inside and not rot away than watch it get tatty in the winter.

I'm also reluctant to park it anywhere in case it gets damaged.

There's nothing wrong with the car, I just don't want to ruin it basically :lol:

Looks a nice tidy car, if it's as good all round as the pics show then approaching 2k may be about right?  I dont really think the import thing would put many people off, a D reg may even invoke a novelty price tag.  
But if it is piece of mind you're after, I've got a nice big dry barn to store it in and ?500 :wink:

It's not been showing up as an import with any of the insurers I've called, and it doesn't say it was imported on the V5, just "registered for use overseas" so that should make it even less likely to put people off I'd have thought?

I can see it's a problem though, a lot of people will be confused by the D and think something is amiss, resulting in a no sale :(

mine says the same dont worry about it it a nice looking car if your selling i would take any goodys of it return to standard swap the wheels for g60 steels and sell the bits on ebay you will still get around 2k so dont panic lol :mrgreen:
