what is that model that we have? i cannot find it......

I am new member -and I have to say -  you have a great site!


Me and my brother decided to buy two golf cabriolet, and we did!!
Last week we bought  two, both are 1987


I cannot find any information about the two cars !!
Nothing,
I was criss cross the net…..


Both cars was import to Israel at 1998
Both are 1.6liter (not 1.8), and both with carburetor
Both have a RE engine


At all the rest of the world, the 87 cabriolet came with only 1.8l and injection

Our is 1.6l (petrol) carburetor

Its looks like everyone else has different cars so I cannot use the information in the net at all

I bought the Haynes book - and its still not good -  all the cars that sown in that book is different too !  and I have to say that I was ask hayness before, what is the right book to buy and they said - 96016 - but its not good, the engine ther are different also the carburetors Ect…

Its not helping me at all

My vin number is - WVWZZZ15KH

My engine is RE, 1.6 L

I just know that it was made by karmann plant, but did not know anything about the engine


I will be glade if you can helping me to indentify the model, engin and specs …
