What have you towed behind your mk1?

Nothing as yet although I could write a pretty impressive list of "Whats towed your Mk1!"

Either in this Mk1 diesel or my last Mk1 diesel, I've towed :

A Citroen Picasso diesel (broken down)

A Vauxhall Vectra diesel saloon (broken down)

An old camper van (to the scrap yard)

I also pulled one of these back onto the road that had got stuck in a muddy field entrance


I'm gonna have to start charging for my services  

I've not towed anything with my MK1 but when i was 18 (oh so many years ago) my mate towed my first MK1 to the bodyshop using his MK1 driver.

It was made more of a sight given the fact that my mk1 was fully stripped with the doors taped shut with masking tape; no glass in it; and I was sitting on a beer crate steering the wheel.

Can you imagine doing that now. The 5-0 would throw the book at you.

Few years back when i had ma black un i A framed a few oldskool cars, Couple o 205Gti's mk2 GTis and a Mk2 RS2000 Oh and quite a few other mk1s 8)

my mates BMW 520i behind a mk1 1600gti, don't think it did mine much good but it did it!
