what bumpers should a 79 GTI have?

should it have black small bumpers or should it have s2 bumpers?

I've got a feeling it should have plastic ones but will have a look through one of my brochures

they had black plastic
mine did anyway

yea I found out today that its the black plastic s2 style bumpers.  The 79 golf brochure thats on this site shows it with black metal bumpers but in reality all RHD 1979 GTI's had black plastic bumpers

If i am not wrong S2 plastic bumpers came on all cars from 78/79 :dontknow:

My Jan 79 brochure shows them with plastic bumpers

Hang on, just found a German brochure from August 78 and they had plastic bumpers back then too !

Plastic wrap-around bumpers replace metal versions in August 1978   

I guess then the GTI should have Plastic bumpers

I need a front bumper aswel as a back but front is more important.It's a bit of a parts bin car.GTi looks a deal for the price if Canadian dollars.
