ok, so I parked my cabby in her usual space just over from the shop, 2 other staff cars protect her during the day  :wink:
those jammy buggers got away early today so she was on her own, some dozy pratt in a mondeo parks up in the next bay, they buy a nice 37incher (thats a tv you dirty minded…   ) for the mother, nowt wrong with that, i take it to the car and we start loading up, the dozy, thick, brainless pillock (sorry was cleanest i could think of) opened his door straight into my rear wing and puts a small dent into it, he looks at me and i joking said " I hope your not denting my car", he looks and laffs saying no its just marked it, which is yours? I replied " the one you just dented!"
He tried to clean the mark off and said sorry, then drove off.  The joys of public carparks :cry:

Upon further inspection, there is a small dent on the car, nothing major but i will always see it

Think I would be claiming off his insurance company, that's the kind of idiot who would swipe your car and drive off. I would no way let him get away with that Chris.

Thats why IF I ever have to stop in a public car park I park as far away from the shops as possible.

Some people just dont care about other peoples property.

One thing im sure of tho, I wouldnt have let the guy leave without him parting with cash for the damage.

On the upside there are loads of companys out there that will sort it out.

I get really funny about parking my car in car parks. Try to avoid it as much as possible or find the most loneliest spot. If i've got no option i'm always checking round the car when I get back to see if any damage. Really does wind me up when people have no respect.

I park over two bays or if in a super market car park, the bays for woman and children are the best because they have a 2/3 ft gap either side  :wink:  people do look at me and frown, but i like to think they're just thinking ' Wish I had a rad car like that, shame im tool.

I had a similar problem years ago and the bloke tried to be a smart one, he said it's private property as it's not on a public highway, so it don't count?????
I pointed out that any area acsesible to the public i.e. public car park is considered a public highway for the purposes of the highway act, wether the land is privately owned by a supermarket, council other private parking facility. So I took his reg and reported it to my insurance company. The Div reversed into my car and I was in a space parked up.

good idea that ding king, but i imagine it only works for large pressure dings, ive got 3-4 2p sized dents dont spose it would work on them. need a smalled version with a stronger glue  Ding Queen?

It does work on 2p sizes dints   depends on the dint takes 3 or 4 goes and they do come out

All of those little dents in my golf that you can only see from certain angles could be a thing of the past!

I won't park over two bays for exactly that reason - someone thinking "look at that - I'll show him…"

So in a car park you have the choice of your own space…… or right next to the person who clearly has an old car and is just trying to stop it (inevitably) getting dented. You would follow the white line off a cliff.

 I suppose theres always some angry self righteous person about with nothing better to do though. Must be real important to make sure your point is taken by parking far to close to a much loved old car that the owner simply does'nt want dented.  And yes i will park over 2 spaces because i care about my car and have already had to sort out a new driver side door because of mindless as you would say 'ignoranus's'.
