Well i've done it.

just bought my first mk1.   Had alot of golfs in my time, but never got around to buying a mk1. always wanted one though.
she's a 1983 mars red gti. quite good condition, she obviously had work done, because like a lot of women she's not willing to grow old gracefully.  

so i'm sure i be firing all kinds of questions at you guys in the future.

MF is a online miniclub i used to be part off when i ran minis, its gone to the dogs now, there was a member on there called Jedistud, just thought you might be one and the same, you never know

well i've got her,    drove her home last night, i forgot how much of a boneshaker they are.  

i have a few things to check out, a few things to fix, dent on passenger door to fix, but apart from that she not bad indeed. I think the speedo cable knackered, needle dances everywhere. i think it out slighty also, about 5-6 mph at 70mph.

i'll try get pics on at weekend guys.
