Water flooding my car

Due to the rain over the last few weeks the inside of my car seems to fill up with water. I had the roof replaced last weekend to hopefully slove the problem. I opened my car yesterday to find more water in the rear footwells and now moving into the front. Please can anyone help me slove this problem thanks lily x

take the doorcards off and check the plastic water barriers behind are fully sealed. if not waterproof duck tape is good to stick them down if they're not too dmaged. if the plastic has had it go into local buiulders place and look for a pack of plastic sheeting that you lay down when painting a room

As Jonny suggests, there are other places the water gets into i.e. tail gate seal the seals around the rear lights.
You can get water coming through the scuttle panel, there are drain holes there and these can get blocked with leaves etc leaving water to flow into the car, but this  comes through the front area. (passenger side I believe) Could this be happening and the water flowing under the seats to the rear?
I would guess a way is to sit in the car and have the hose pipe running to see if you can locate the water ingress.
What condition are the outer scraper seals in at the rear, these rubber strips that rub against the window are supposed to keep some of the water out at least, if these are perished, shrunk or even missing as I have seen on a car once then the water would just run down inside, again though there are drain holes to take the water away, unless these are blocked.
I am not sure as to the hood fitting without seeing pics, there are 2 screws that pierce the hood at the sides where the covers that have the press stud fittings that hold the tonneau cover on. Someone had a new hood and they had split the hood there and that was letting water in.
Hope this helps.

the above other bits you mention are worth checking, but generally leavs from these areas will cause a bit of damp, not a flooded interior. I know because I've had all these leaks on my cabby :D

when replacing the vapour barriers, get another sheet cut to half the height of the door, and stick it along the bottom half, then tuck the lower edge inside the door before sticking on the top sheet. this ensures all water that gets in is directed straight to the bottom of the door/shell where it then drains out.

if you just stick a top sheet on the water can pool along the bottom of the sheet and seep in past the tape.

This problem definitly isnt due to the scrapers, I drove my cabby thru the winter for a while without any scrapers fitted at all, and  no leaks.  If the drains at the bottoms of the doors are not blocked and vapour bartriers properly installed, there will be no leaks thru the doors :)

check your roof header seal.  Water comes in under the seal (full length or the edges) run along your hood frame and come down where it wants.

check the glue holding the seal down is still compus mentus. the area between the seal and window frame should be full to the brim with glue running the whole length AND under the ends.

Check that the wee 'fins' running the length of the seal are all standing up (if there aren't any you need a new seal ~£90, as it's no longer water tight).  the header seal only works on pressure from the hood where the hood touches and folds the fins down to create the watertight seal, the seal and windowframe bit is done by glue, as the hood doesn't exert enough pressure to make that bit water tight.

the front and back foot wells are linked (at least they are in my car) the water gets under the brace running under the seat.  so your leak could be from the front not the back.

easiest way to find out whwere you're leaking is sit in the car when it's raining and watch where the waters coming in from, take out the rear bench and sill so you can see the boot clearly.
believe me.. saves you massses of time doing it that way lol

you might also want to check thedoor seals are still good, and the top window to frame seals are touching, make sure you're doors haven't dropped somuch that they cuase a gap between the seal and window causing the leak.

Can't think of anything else, hope that helps tho.
