vw players website

Is it me or do the vw players have the worst website ever.Would have thought that after putting on such a good show they would be falling over themselves to let everyone see all the great cars that turned up.If anyone knows of a link could they please let me know.

It appears to be incomplete - the links at the bottom are set to their default values in the template they've used for the front page, not actual links to pics. Of course these days, websites and marketing are closely related. Perhaps they have run out of money and there won't be a VW Players 2009?

They shouldnt have run out of money. They must have got a massive backhander from the cornish pasty van , I mean it was about a fiver for a greasy rank pasty and I know I said it was a good show.But it was the cars that made it.

Why let something basic like the website go un-updated then??? Doesn't make commercial sense to me, given the number of VW shows there are these days etc.

seems odd tbh youd think they would be on the ball as so many people have been to the shows ect how odd

They're not part of E38 thats for sure, yeah Carl started Edition in 2001, but left a year a two later to pursue other interests.. I think that site is purely intended as a online flyer and it seems to be quite good for that use..

no negativity just asking the question and what cgti got to with it??? less negative than here most of the time

Unfortunately in marketing, perception is everything. And with the number of shows these days, unless you come across their website and are 'hooked' by it to stay there more than about 30 seconds, you're likely to browse away from it.

Having said that, there's still a lot of stuff which can be done word-of-mouth, etc.

Wasn't aimed specifically at you Benjamin , just reading the thread as a whole has a bit of a negative vibe to Jay and Carl if you see what I mean.. the thread read more like some threads on some of the 'bigger' forums .. we don't need to be nagative on here, we already know we're the ones with the best cars don't we ha ha

Reading through the whole of the thread, Jay and Carl weren't mentioned until your post! So it can't really have been a personal attack. Fact is, people decide to go to a show approx 1-3 weeks before it, unless you're a trader or exhibitor…

Dear all.I Have to take the blame for some of the negative vibe.Its just there was so many great cars that its a shame we cant get to see them.Next year I am taking the cam and loading them myself.

ha ha nice one nifty, i just stuck to the milkshakes and then the samosa's when the indian food van turned up…

Maybe they just rely on word-of-mouth more than their website.

they did set it up a few months back and said it was a WIP, its one of the club members nephews or family thats doing it iirc? but, i know what there cars look like, so its all good.

plus players was a cool show. so i dont hate
