vw festival leeds. whats it like?

Hi the vw festival will be my first event i have been to since buying my mk1 golf last year. Got my tickets in the post for the weekend last week and getting the tent sorted this week. Looking forward to being surrounded by people with the same interests as me and hope the weather holds out.
what sort of things can be expected?
Most of all are wellies the call of the day?

shoul be a good year.. altho the conflict with retro rides has torn a lot of people over where to be!

i did last 3 years.. loved it!

Last years show was good even though it was muddy, hopefully this year will be good aswell. If you join as a member between now and then you can put your car on the club stand, if not make sure you pop over and see us.

I am already a member of the club if that is what you mean.
car is not up to stand condition yet so will leave it next to the tent!!!!!

All cars are welcome on the stand doesnt matter what condition. Mines no where near perfect. If you want to put it on just add your name to the list on the meets page or let me know.

how is this, this seems like Lawsys post, but it is posted under another members name,

or is it just me reading it wrong

i wrote the first paragraph don't know why the other bits have been added. will think about putting car on stand. check out my photos and give me your opinion. does it mean i have to be there earlier?

Lawsy has only just been given the extra controls as a mod, it looks like he's pressed the "edit" button instead of "quote", and inadvertently added his own comments onto your post instead of making his own, with a quote.

look in my posts under hello and new interior thare are some photos there. getting there for before 9 could be a problem got to drop kids off at inlaws but will have a word with other half and see what she says.
will let you know or could i still get on stand later on in day?

Sotty please PM me your address so I can send the stand pass to you. You should be able to get onto the stand later then 9 before 10 is preferable if youve prebooked you will be be able to que jump and come in before the main gate opens.
