Value of 1.3 driver

Hi Guys,

Well, I think it is the time to sell. Not had the time to use the car at all in feb. Making thing worse I just finished rebuilding my motox bike and because of this I don't see myself finding the time to use the golf in the near future. Which is a shame, anyway I have no idea how much to put the car up for sale at. Can some of you guys advise me please?

The Golf is a totally immaculate 1983 A-reg 1.3 driver 4 speed, in mars red. It has twin lamp grill, gti wheel arch trims, large chin spoiler, coilovers, period recaros and steel wheels from 90's polo.
Almost 11 months MOT and tax.

?600-700 (rough guess). One sure way to find out is to put it on eBay, with 99p and no reserve. You'll know how much its worth after a week!

I paid ?1300 for my Mars Red Driver in 2000.  It was exceptional at the time.  No rust, GTI alloys, fully rebuilt engine, brakes, suspesion, no expense spared.  Absolutely faultless.  I don't think values have changed too much since then.  Bear in mind that a rough but useable GTI is going to fetch similar money and most people would rather have the "proper" GTI (if they can insure it)

That was his question! Best picking up the phone, having a private chat and seeing what comes of it, rather than an online debate though. Good luck etc. And let us know the outcome, it would be a useful indication on the price guide.
