Tracking

Any one know where to get the tracking done on mk1 cab?
Tried loads of places and they can not do it. Thanks

Amazed that you have tried places and they can't, unless you're trying delicatessens and butchers, etc. Most tyre fitting places do it.

If you still have trouble, then we'd need to know approximately where you are in the country.

In tamworth but it is lowered and been told it has single side adjustment.

me thinks everyone you have been to can do the tracking no problem, but have you messed with or fitted any suspension components ? if so then its the camber/castor they cannot do and not the tracking itself this place will do it but maybe a little far ??? CHEMIX HERE :))

i think its either rusted in place or the YTS boys have no idea on how to do an old car.

Most tracking done at a garage needs the equipment clipped over the tyre, so it needs a little bit of tyre-to-arch clearance. This is probably why they are saying they can't do it.

The fact that its one track rod to adjust doesn't have any effect - you adjust the one, and realign the steering wheel on the splines.

If it needs doing, and its seized, it would need replacement of the track rod.

You could DIY it - google Gunson Trakrite.
