Top rad hose

Anyone know the part number for the top hose on a rivage 1992 gti ?

few on ebay but dont know if there right ones


it split onme today luckly it was right at the end so i cut it a fixed it back on tho get me home , did a fully coolant change 2 weeks ago ! gutted all that lovely new coolant gone lol

Happened to me yesterday

nightmare, i done 200 miles in it the last 2 days

luckly it happened as i was pulling into a car park so only lost 1.5 lirtre of coolant it was spitting out all over my engine , also luck i had stanley knife, pliers, and 2 ltr of water

Same here, used the car for work all day, popped to pick the kids up from school, as i pulled away BANG the clutch cable snapped, 3hrs later fitted a new cable (thanks to the AA man)

THEN……….Drove a mile home pretty peed off, parked up went into the house, came out, looked at the floor and saw that the car had decided to vomit the contents of the cooling sytem all over the road, opened the bonnet and got a right shower from water/coolant dripping off the underside of the bonnet, the stuff was everwhere so it must have gone with a real bang, the hose had a 2" split at the end near the block.

Good job i didn,t pop the bonnet to check the clutch cable before i went in the house cos thats the reason i went back out!!

Just hope i haven't got issues with 'over pressure' of the cooling system!!!

does anyone know where to get the thin material type hose that goes from the Rad to the expansion bottle ?

Any VW dealer or good motor factor will stock this hose.

I picked mine up at my VW dealers.
