Nice pics! Love the car. You're not wrong when you say brochure spec. Very clean with it. Is that the original stereo (or do you know what year it was from)? It's exactly the same as the one I've got for mine. Like the ye olde gearknob aswell!

Cheers. Funkstar sold me the radio.  Almost right for 82 I think.  Gearstick is same as fitted to GT Beetle and extremely similar to accessory for early mk1 swallowtail models….

Didn't drop the roof today  
My van was in for a service today,so i drove into Birmingham town center in my car to do a 10 min job…paid 3.00 for 1hr parking on a sort of side street(always spaces as very pricey)..i came out of job,made a call on my phone (20mins)…just looking at my car whilst talking,, i had a smile on my face,a bit like yours Lenny! i must say with me standing there,9 out of 10 people / groups that passed my car made very very nice comments…


          …  going to go into town when it gets a bit warmer and record the spot where i park for 15 mins… :wink:  :wink:  :wink:

I had the roof down on mine today too - for the first time this year! This was mainly to fit my boss's skis and his missus both in my car at the same time…left the roof down for the 40-minute drive to Annecy and it was ace.

commuted into work the last 2 days with the top down and the jacket zipped right up...loverly weather but still a bit cool down the back of the neck methinks 8)

awww pretty pretty!!! I wana go play in katie with the top down!! yipperroo!! i love summer!!!! unfortunately the suns been out when ive been at work, i get all excited about going for a blast after work and then the weather turns poop and my dreams are shattered! ha! never mind, i'l get a day soon! !
