Stopping Vibration on Cabby number plate panel ?
Hi Guys
ok i gave in and put the sub i had in my white cabby in me sportline
I took the black plastic panel behind number plate off my white one so it didnt matter, but what ingeneous ways have others padded out back of panel etc to stop it rattling like hell when the sub kicks?
As i want to keep the panel on the sportline
Cheers
Rich

Good question! I also have a rattly boot lid but when I went to remove the plastic cover it was so stuck on that it started to crack when I tried to remove it so gave up.

No plate.
We use small strips of self adhesive black HD sponge on the rear of surround, will stick to it forever if you make an effort to clean surface thoroughly before sticking!
No vibration, no noise.

2 tintops.
3 cabbies, 1 with G60 power, just for fun.

Keep the sub & get the double sticky backed foam.

If you don't want to use the double sided foam, you could take the panel off and carefully pipe some silicone in beads Dow the back of it. Let it dry before reattaching it so it doesn't stick to the boot panel. Then it'll stop the vibration and you can take it off again without damaging paint.
And keep the sub, I'm going to make a custom fibreglass enclosure in my Rivage soon. Bosch.

Well used some double sided strips of foam last night and cut the vibration down loads, it got a bit late to crank it up in the street so gona finish it off with a few tweaks here and there today :-)
