STOLEN my much loved 1981 Golf GLS SPD 131X

Just spent an hour roaming the streets of Stoke Newington Londonhoping I'd find my lovely car…but it's gone. Was looking to see if there's anywhere to post re stolen vehicle on the site, but I can't find anywhere. I've done a police crime report.

Anyone got any advice…I love that car, had it for 15 years, and it's in original condition too. Inari silver (which is silver green really). Very very miserable indeed.

could it have been towed by the council?

Anything is possible, but doubt it got towed, it was newly taxed, and having been resprayed in 2009, looked quite smart….stupidly, can't find a single picture….

post around all the other vw forums mate and pistonheads and perhaps retrorides.. good luck.

sorry to hear tha same scum have takin your car why cant they leave think that dont belong to them . where i live have alot of kids 16 and up alway looking at mine and takin about it that scares my . them takin mine. hope you get it back  sir

No surprises, not a peep from anywhere. Sure SPD was nicked and stripped for parts sharpish. Have had a decent peiod of mourning and joined my local car club…as I'm not a mechanic and SPD came to my by accident, haven't the heart to start again. Good luck to all of you, will wave when I see a MK1.
