Sportline Eibach Springs and lots of bounce!
After much deliberation and discussion I opted to upgrade the suspension on my sportline. Wanted to keep it as closedto original as possible so went for Eibach springs and anti-roll bars with standard boge dampers.
Now I was told that this was a good set up and certainly it worked well on my M2 G60 but on the Sportline it's Ok at the back but 'shocking' on the front. There's no damping and the ride it seems is carried on just the springs. Which means it bounces and all over the place and constantly hits the stops.
Does any onehave suggestions to improve I guess uprated shocks but what matches up well with Eibach springs? Also I guess I can get away with just a pair on shocks on the front?

Just get some of the bumpstops that Bert has and I don't think you can get a better set up for road use

They definitely lowered the car by more than the quoted 35mm, but I was happy enough with the look and the ride is superb.
Thinking about it now, I increased the damping at the front (left the rears as they were) and that improved things further.
I got my springs from Motorsportworld who were very helpful on the phone and also prompt at delivery.

This has got to be up there as the most talked about subject amongst golf nuts, as it's a personal thing with ride comfort over handling and i'm sure i could trawl the old post, and still be undecided…
Anyway I am veering towards oe replacement. My question is can i pop down to VW and order everything i need over the counter  for my cabby. Sound daft I know.

The best suspension set up is standard as VW intended [with original wheels and tyres]. If you are quick you can still get a new original set up at a price from dealers .
Modified use standard suspension bushes with Koni shocks and Eibach springs . Watch the tyre size even a 45 profile tyre can cause a rough ride .
as it's a personal thing with ride comfort over handling
