Sills?

Hi all, I'm a bit stuck to what to do, my car needs new sills both left and right which is where I'm at right now. The panels I got are from vw heritage and are made by klokkerholm, now the swage line just above where the sill trim fits on is near on non-existent you can see that there is crease for it but its no where near the original.

Does anyone know of any other makes of sills that I can buy? Or should I just put these on and try and use some filler to build up the swage line?

I can post some pics if it help?

Thanks for any help, Joe.

Cant really add to this other than i am in the same predicament!

As far as i am aware there are no other sills available unless you stumble across a unicorn who has some original vw ones for sale.

My conclusion was that the holes in the trim on the originals are a weak point for water ingress and cause of rusting sills from the inside out so i am goin to find some rigid plastic trim which is very similar and stick this with adhesive.

Id be interested to hear others opinions on this.

I REALLY wish VW would start pressing some sills again

I used klokker ones on one of my mk1s. The fit is very good but the quality of the steel is ridiculous

I was thinking of doing this too, but using the original trim filling the back with something like a 2pack glue and then dubble sided tap along the whole thing.

Do you need to replace the whole sill?  Is there any way you can keep as much of the OG sill as possible and just repair what is needed?
