service history

Sadly my car has none, i was wondering if its possible to obtain a copy from vw of the early history (if there was any!)

Incidently, has anyone on here owned A135 HAD?

As its had 19 owners im hoping that someone on here may have had it.

Previous owner that i got it from need not reply…

vw systems wont have anything that far back i;m afraid.  in fact the only way that VW systems will know the car is if it has been into a dealer since they became automated and electronic service systems were put in.  I can confirm that the current system and the one prior to this will not recognise either of my 83 golfs.

Do you reckon the original dealer may have some info on it?
Its still sporting one number plate with orig dealer address on it, might give em a bell and see what they have to say.
What i really want is a sticker with the campaign details on it for the back panel (been changed) and my nice new service history book that i have just ordered.

Anyone remaking these?

You could probably get alot of the MOT information which will give you an idea of what work has been carried out on your car. You would be able to get hold of all the electronic MOT certificates for the past ten years or so.

got all old mots going back to 94 and a very comprehensive history file, its just the service book that has gone. Sadly the car was written off last year cat c (thanks for telling me this previous owner :roll  and im pretty sure the insurance co took it at that point.

All very annoying.

Right, got a new service book, anyone got a campaign that they could take a pic of the sticker form rear panel which i believe should also be stuck into the first page of book (deleting personal vin numbers obviously) so i can get a couple made up?
