Selling golf rivage

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a little advice from you guys, I have a golf cabriolet (rivage special edition) which I'm looking to sell sometime soon, and was wondering if anyone knew of the best place to advertise such a car?
I've seen some on eBay but not sure I want to go down that route and have no experience of selling a car at a show, also not convinced auto trader would be the best place as its not really a 'run of the mill' car. Anyone had any experience with vw websites etc ?? Any advice would be great.

Thanks guys, thats given me a couple of ideas.

Jellybelly I'll take some pics when it's finally stopped raining! Basically it's a 1991 rivage, great condition, been garaged through the winter for roughly the last 8 years so bodywork is great, new roof fitted about 6 years ago, loads of receipts and photos for work done. All the usual extras - cream leather interior, elec roof, etc .

Really not sure what it's worth, been looking at other adverts and they range from £2500 for one needing loads of work to £9000 for one in mint condition.

Sally

to shift a rivage - here is probably the best place, as someone on the club maybe looking for one or is aware of someone that is

Is yours blue or green, does it have the cloth or leather interior, what is the mileage and number of owners and what year is it?

i would ignore the 9K rivages you see! unless yours has under 30,000 miles, it as it left the factory and has no blemishes then the prices you see those rivages up for in my eyes is unrealistic

if you can answer the above some one will point you to its approx value

piston heads is good, but a classified advert price on ebay would get it out too the mases for you

Jelly above maybe interested at a fair price :-)

Cheers

Rich

Thanks Rich that's really helpful, it's done around 84k, it's blue with the cream leather interior, k reg.
It has been used so as most cars of this age the leather shows signs of wear but the bodywork is sound. It had a new hood just before I bought it and for some reason (maybe price), the guy put a black roof on rather then the original blue, this is the only alteration to the car, everything else is as it was when it left the production line.
I have a folder full of receipts with previous owners details etc, as I said before when the rain stops I'll get some photos put on so you can see it.

Again thanks for the advice !

Sallyb23: I bought my Rivage last summer via eBay, the car had 85k on her and has lots of history. She's blue, reasonably tidy, fitted with cloth seats and is very original except for a JVC cassette/radio. I paid £2.5k for her. I like the fact that she is a limited edition but what I like more is getting in and driving her. Good luck AJ
