Seats

How do i get the seats out, i need to get them out to clean my carpet! the standard carpets in mk1's are terrible! so hard to get clean once dirty. I'm a surfer you see and sand is a killer for those carpets!haha if anyone could help i'd be greatful as i've had enough of trying to clean them with a household hoover!lol

unscrew the rail cover with your philips head screw driver and remove(slide it towards the rear or the car as you lift it off)..

At the front underside of the seat where you adjust your forwards/backward sitting position there is a bolt, get your adjustable spanner out and unscrew the bolt(you may need an allen key if its tight)

the whole seat should then slide back off the rails when you lift the handle for forwards/backward sitting position to the rear
