seats fitted into a mk1
i am new to this and not even got a mk1 as of yet, but i was wondering about putting seats into a mk1.
i have looked at loads on the tinterweb and most have uprated front and rear seats in that some dont even come out of a golf mk1 or 2.
i seen a lush cabby for sale in ebay thats near edingbourgh that has serria cosworth leather recaro front and rear seats

does it matter what seats you were to put in a cabby as long as they fit in the head room and they tilt forward ?
and they rear ones ?
if someone has maybe a list of possibles that would go in with only a few tweeks?

Don't worry about head room, think more about how you can make the subframes strong and fit well.
If you can weld, then pretty much any seat'll fit

I once put these in my cabby lasted 8 mths then saw the light and went back to standard seats but to put the blue ones in I had to make and weld my own frames in the floor, easyish if you can weld.
Andy, were you having a mid life crisis? 8O
Just my opinion but I seriously dont like them seats :?
Glad you saw the light 8)

so is it that for a stright swap for the mk1 seats are mk1s and mk2s seats.
I have seen on ebay a set of recaros that has mk2 runners welded on it but they say they fit a mk2 and mk3.
