There was something about pulling them as far as they will go and spraying them with Pledge polish or similar, and slowly letting them back in if that makes sense?

How are yours tired?

I got mine working loads better simply by using some furniture polish and a duster, reel out the belt and apply/rub polish to both sides, possibly a couple of times.

you will be well chuffed on how quick they recoil after that, sweet little trick someone told me about

nice one guys… the neighbours must think I'm mad but had to try it.

They work a lot better,  still struggles on the last bit though..

Has anyone ever serviced the bit behind the door card? is it possible?

Cheers

I used the mr sheen trick and they are tons better, the worry is if you take them apart and re assemble incorrectly and you have a bump it could put you in danger, saftey first. If they are that bad get some replacement ones that are ok.

true story m8 i kid you not years ago my great uncle had an inpack at just over 30 in his escort van car was not to badly damaged but he smashed his face pretty bad on the wheel lost a few teeth,  in hospital for a few days i think going back long time back so little vivid in the memory, but he said a week or so before he had some trouble with his seat belt may off been what you have said about not going back

and the dealers wonted some thing silly for a new one and he took it in his own hands to solve the problem stripped it rebuilt got it working lovely he reckons

but when he hit the car in front the seat belt packed up instantly and let go resulting in him hitting wheel

so if your gonna do it be carefull or just be happy with you got after the polish trick
