Rolling Road Results!!!!!

Finally after a week of noble motorsport going through my engine, it was well enough to stand a run on the rollers.

Its a standard 1.8 16v KR running K-Jet, and came out at wait for it……………







151bhp @ 6761rpm  and 124.3 lbft @ 5032rpm

Im very very very happy considering they are only meant to have 139bhp as standard!!  And the torque curve is so nice and flat past 5000rpm its unreal.

Did have a few hiccups in getting it to this stage tho - previous owner had put a recon head on, but knocked camshaft timing out by a tooth resulting in slight valve to piston contact - sounded like a diesel!!  Also the injector spray pattern was all over the shop, a constantly firing 5th injector and problems with low fuel pressure.

in the end they put a pump off a Noble V12 monster on it to get the right pressure!!!

Flies like the preverbial off a shiny shovel - am I taking it for a blast to the AGM? Hell yes!!!        :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:  :mrgreen:

Nice!! I have a 1.8 8v k-jet 135bhp!!!
With a few other mods you could get that higher but i guess you dont want to or you would.
I had pressure issues at mine top end as well. All sorted now though.

what you thinking chris??  Prob do quite a bit to it now its set up right - no point putting mods onto something that aint quite right to start with!!

I guess that makes sense however i went the other way lol I put all my mods on and then got it tunned went in with 101 brake and came out wiv 34 more! but i have some more mods planned so should get it alittle faster also shavin some weight!! i really want a valver in mine!!!! but for 20bhp more hardly seen worth it.

yes but there is the huge kick in the back you get when it starts getting to about 4500-5000rpm and the torque comes in - it just takes off - great fun!!!!
