Can anyone please tell the approximate weight of a STRIPPED mk1 shell also a mk2 STRIPPED shell.
This info is required to help with me with my calculations for the rollover jig build.

  Cheers

Just wondered if any has the building plans to make one of the wooden rollover jigs?

Looks like a easier and cheaper build than a metal A frame type.

Would one of these hold the weight of the car with the running gear still on?

Cheers,

Spill.

Hi all here's the build presentation that we have been working on to help you all out.
A big thanks to Mo for writing it up.
This jig was built for a mk2 Golf, to use on a mk1 Golf you would need to change the bumper brackets to suit.

HI, I understand tthis is an old post but I`m sure people searching for plans for a  rollover jig will find their way here. I believe there is a mistake with the measurements for the A-frame. I think that instead of one the the A-frame legs being 1700mm it should actually be in the region of 1100mm. Just a word of caution.
