Rivage paint.

Am I right in thinking that some of the blue Rivages came with a hint of purple once out in the sun ect and some were just blue?

Don't think so, the purple flip is in the late Helios Blue colour, which is on my car.
My understanding is that the Rivages came only in Classic Blau. Or debatable, Classic Green, I have heard it described as Dragon green  Pearl?

Im sure I seen a thread before where a few people with a rivage said they prefered the hint of purple.

Thats what I read before.

I was just wondering as my I dont want the car being sprayed in a different shade.

Does yours not flip in the sunshine?

Mine car is Helious Blue and it really flips with sunlight on it.

So if you paint it  Classic Blau LC5N, then it should be the proper colour.


Bouchay has yours had a repaint at some point or is it the origional paint finish?
I am sure I read a thread somewhere that they added to the paint during a respray, to get the flip purple.
Easy way, get your car in the sun and have a look see.

Mine has had some paint in it's life, but I don't know how much and where :dontknow:

Yeah mine has a slight purpleish look in the sun.

Paint is original apart from front drivers wing and that matches the rest of the car.

Just go for the Orig colour then.

Im sure there are people on here with a Rivage and they dont get the hint of purple so there must be 2 types of blue then.

My old Rivage definitely had the purple, but some of my friends couldn't see it. It was Classic Blau too.

guess it's its metallic or pearlescent properties, but i do agree it has a hint in the sun

i have had mine parked up next to a helious blue GTI (markoggys) and inca blue clipper (jettas) and they are all quite different
