quick question on 1.6 mk1 engine

hey peeps. Right, my gearbox went last Friday on the way to Birmingham. Managed to get the car home and was straight on the net trying to find a new one. Since then i have been able to grab my hands on the 1.5 (w reg) engine and box for a brilliant price of 45 pounds. However i bought it blind and im not entirely sure whether the 1.5 box will bolt to the back of the engine. my engine is a 1.6 (c reg)

can anybody help out, and let me know on some good parts i can keep as spares if they fit

If its a 4+E gearbox from the 1500cc then it fits but not 100% sure but the clutch may be smaller than the later un, 1985 1.6 and 1.8 boxes are the same so you could use a mk2 1.6/1.8 driver gearbox,Is it deffo a 1500cc  5 spd?
