quick but of law advice

not really as interesting as the title sounded I guess but just a quick question and might sound a little stupid but is it legal to drive without the mk1 bumpers on?

I think its some thing to do with not having sharpe edges exposed!!   :dontknow:

so your not allowed to not have them on? :/ I mean I don't really like alot of the bumpers (with exception of the chrome S1 bumpers) guess ill have to live with it thanks or the help

Im sure you dont have to have bumpers. As long as you dont have the brackets exposed or bits of metal or frame work sticking out its all good.
Its all about the sharpe edges.

Its legal so long as you have front indicators and the modification is declared on your car insurance, etc. On some cars, once the bumpers are removed it exposes sharp edges, but not a Mk1 Golf.

Beware using 6W side repeaters as front indicators - used alone, it will change the flash rate, and they're not that noticeable either.

Do a search, its come up loads of times too.
