problems with garage
The garage used to be brilliant and send an invoice and updates every few weeks.
the last few months they seem to have just stopped
rarely answer the phone, never return calls and rarely reply to messages ??!!
Im thinking to just go get it as i had paid upfront the work, were do i stand with this ???

Always remember an estimate is a geustimate.
Meaning the price can be more or less, very rarely less.
So did you have in writing a schedule of what work was to be undertaken & a timeframe in which it was to be completed?
If you take the vehicle back they can say you breached the contract. I am sure the law will state that a reasonable amount of time is to be given to complete the job.
I would ask other garages a price and time what the work would cost and take .
For instance.
Replacement of front panel.
Materials £300.00 labour 2hrs at £45.00 = £390.00.
That sort of thing, that way you know how long a job should take. They have to take due care and diligence plus a reasonable timeframe for the work to be completed.
Anything in writing ?

If they are doing it at a good price or no there is no rish, perhaps they have just slowed down with yours for a bit as busy with others and that why there isnt any update calls or new invoices
good luck
