Pricing my mk1 Gtis

Ok, I'm putting my Mk1 Series 2 gti up for sale shortly to pay for a new addition, problem is I have no idea what  it's worth!

Here she is!



Unfortunately I've let her a go a bit, with using her as a parts hauler.
It's the 1800 8v version, lowered 80mm all round, strut brace, VAG glass sunroof, Awesome dials but otherwise completely standard.
PAnasonic headunit with 6x9s set in a stealth shelf and smaller speakers in the doors.
The interior is dirty, the rear seat is split along one of the seams and the front driver's bolster has gone in the usual place.
Underneath this car is solid as hell. As far as I know it has only been welded once, and was religiously waxoiled by a past owner, although unfortunately I've not been as diligent.
The engine still pulls strong, but it has developed a bit of an oil leak. It is also a bit white smokey on a hot day, but on both counts this could be because I'm using thin oil…
The car handles really nice, although sometimes 1st can be a pig to find.

I've tried to be as honest as I can about this car, so what would you guys pay for this?

Sorry, just seen the price guide on the front page, think I have a rough idea now what it's worth.

oh dear , glass sunroof, just devalued it by two thirds. when i picked mine up with a glass roof 90,ooo miles never welded solid as rock ?300. piles of rust go for more.

What's so bad about a glass sunroof?  :dontknow:

nothing for me but in general i think they are a bit unwanted.
