Quick question, is a Porsche 924/944 steering wheel a direct replacement for the standard item?

I know a 924 wheel is a straight swap,but i dont know if a 924 and 944 wheel are the same fitting.I would imagine they are!

I've got a '84 944 widebody wheel in my car. My car is a small spline '83 driver.
