Passed again....so it's STAYING..!!
Front brakes 50% worn…..errr…after 8 years on them I don't think I'll worry just yet…
Rear box will need replacing soon….well it's been on there 9 years….!!!!
Been sat in the garage the last 6 months apart from regular starting and short runs around the block….
New plugs, rotor arm and dizzy cap fitted, car cleaned and all lights checked before the test, …on the way there put foot down to overtake a dawdler and WOW…a split second before kick-down came in and then a punch in the back and the fun began…..the 'old girl' threw her skirts off and transformed into a young foal being set free !!!!
After the pure 'luxury' of the Passat oil burner it was such a thrill to have a blast in the old girl. It felt SOOOOOOOO good !
So it's now staying…for as long as we can afford it…..or someone comes along with a VERY good pile of cash, and EVEN THEN we'd have to think hard about it. Roll on the summer….
Owning a Mk1 cabby is a vertical learning curve…

Mine is due end of this Month, so fingers crossed, You cannot beat that Kickdown feeling.
Took mine for a good run up to Scotland a couple of weeks ago.
No issues at all
Hopefully have the roof down today when I nip to see my Brother, it's a little sunny in Derby at the Mo.
