oh no, not another wheel opinion thread..

I know there's been loads of threads on wheels, but i'm having a dilema..

this is the wheels on the cabby, which i thought looked well, they fitted the arches and looked ok and went well with the floppy top (IMO anyway)



Now the cabbies been stripped and I've got my tintop, the wheels have gone onto it, but i just dont think they suit it, whats your thoughts..



I can sell these alloys if anyones interested in them for a cabby

But then what do i do..
ronal, ATS, steelies… P slots????

i think some exips like mine would look nice, 15x7, but they are quite hard to get hold of in this country

Always a hard choice, and wheels make the car!
What sort of look do you want? What colour is the tin top? Euro? Retro? depends on what look u want i suppose!?
I would say…

Reto/ Classic… ats classics/ ronal turbos?
Hard looking wheel would be…. ats cup?
bbs splits… show car/ origional sort of look?

Those are just my opinions, and im sure everyones different?  :wink:

and… theres a set of wide g60 steelies on wide-wheels for sale fella. The cream ones on the front on a mk2 golf.

i personally would change them, and sell those but at the end of the day its your car so go with your gut feeling

When you compare the two pictures together, those wheels do look a lot better on the cabby. As for replacements on the tintop…………. depends on the look you're going for i suppose.  :dontknow:

Yeah, they were bought for the cabby and suit it..

Might put them on my van tho, unless anyone wants a swap or wants to buy them :dontknow:  :dontknow:

Depends on the look your going for..
I'm aiming for low n a bit ratty/oldskool, they wont suit it at all..

I'd be looking for about ?150 ish for them, tyres have decent tread and I paid ?300 plus VAT about  1500 mies ago

To be honest mate, dont think they are what I am after either… nice wheels tho. I fancy some 'Deep dish' wheels in black with Polished rims I think. Car is Silver so want something to contrast I reckon. Im also looking at lowering mine as you may already know as I posted on your Coilovers thread. They look pretty sound actually, let me know how you get on with them….
