o2a rear gearbox bracket help - Mine snapped :(
Sorry if this isn't in the correct section of the forum.
Just found after looking for the reason why my engine moves a fair bit, that the rear gearbox mount it worse for wear and seems to have snapped. The mount wasn't even held onto the gearbox properly, it had 1 loose bolt holding it on. It also seems to be a really poor custom job.
I've got a 9a in the car, but with an o2a gearbox, so I nead an 02a conversion bracket for the rear. I've had a look about, but all of the websites i have found that offer them do them for a. Stupid money, which I cannot afford, and b. In a set of 2.
Its a bit of a long shot, but does anyone have any plans of the rear mount that they could email to me, so I could get one made up locally, for affordable money? its the sort of l shaped bracked that attatches to the big square rubber mount.
I would go off the current mount I have, but it doesnt really look like I would get the correct fitment (its pretty ruined). It also doesn't look like any of the sets I have found, its a pretty poor 'custom' mount.
I am genuinly surprised as I bought the car from a supposed VW mechanic, who works for a VW specialist…
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Pictures attatched. Note - Photography is not my strong point.
