number plate blanking plate , with gti on it

Hey guys ive had this in my garage for years there is some damage on it and dont think it could ever be brand new, … has has bits bodged onto it to hold it together,…. but anyway anyone seen anything like it before ?

I remember seeing those a few years ago, dont think it would fit on my cabby, fancy it though
