Not quite a barn find (I'm very sad) the hunt goes on

Saw this gumtree link on rickets867  thread
Used Cars, Vans & Motorbikes for Sale | Gumtree
and as it was local gave the guy a call, could not believe I only had to walk 2 min to see the car, never knew it was there, was hoping for that elusive barn find that some times turns up, however this was not to be the case, the seller wants 850 for the car, I am putting these pics up incase anyone else saw the gum tree add and wondered what it was like. This might save you the plane fare over to see it. The hunt goes on.
Its going to take a fair wad of cash to put her right. If any one wants more info or photos the seller is happy for me to go back.

the cloths pegs are holding the dash vent vinyl in place !!!!!!!!

Ivortheengine went to see it 2 years ago and he wanted 1500 but it was in much better shape.

Just sold my mk2 8v after sitting a few years sitting in the drive don't think my good lady would want another breaker so soon lol

The seller wants it to go to someone who will fix her up but i think its really border line now.

Very good funk but its finding the good bits lol

I agree. £400 would be the very very max I would pay for it! And at that price you would want it running! Its a shame the tinworm has set in. If he wants £850 for it he will be waiting a while. I hope it doesnt just turn into a pile of rust!
